Tapping discovered is a 146 page wire bound flat lie printed book that gives you the tools to take your tapping to the next level.
With over 1H30m of HD video, 24 backing tracks for you to download, three chapters of exercises with solos, a lick library section and a solo chapter, you’ll make huge progress fast!
CHAPTER 1
By the end of this lesson you will be able to travel up and down the length of the top string using multi-finger tapping. You will also learn how to adjust both your fretting and tapping grip to fit into and complement specific harmonic contexts. Finally, you will also learn to connect tapping patterns in a way that keep your hand relaxed and your playing in time with the music.
CHAPTER 2
By the end of this lesson you will be able to move up and down the length of the top string using legato tapping as well as combining legato tapping with multi-finger tapping as covered in lesson 1. As always, the emphasis will be on being able to execute these multiple techniques whilst staying relaxed and in time with the music.
CHAPTER 3
By the end of this lesson you will be able to connect multi-finger and legato tapping patterns with pentatonic tapping patterns and legato playing as well as making use of each of these patterns to cross strings on the guitar neck. You will be shown how to combine and use all the patterns you have learned so far to move both up and down the instrument horizontally and vertically.
CHAPTER 4
In this lesson we will study a variety of licks that use tapping to form at least part of their melody. Apart from adding to your library of patterns and tapping technique, these licks will also show you how to connect tapping with other popular guitar techniques such as bends, slides vibrato etc. Of prime importance is how many of the styles presented are in styles of music often not thought compatible with tapping.
CHAPTER 5
In this final lesson you are presented with two contrasting solo pieces that involve all of the ideas and concepts presented across the last four chapters. You will be then be able to play these solos at various tempos with the downloadable backing tracks that are integral to the learning process of this publication. Once completed you will have a excellent grasp of tapping and how to use it it a myriad of improvisational scenarios.

The Chromatic Scale
THE CHROMATIC SCALE – A MUST LEARN!
Most guitar players learn a bunch of scales, but the the chromatic scale guitar players of all ages seem to ignore which is a big mistake. It’s the foundation of all chords, scales & arpeggios. It’s a wonderful tool for helping your picking technique, adjacent string playing and for use in improvisation.
Knowing the chromatic scale is a fundamental tool and skill that you need to learn. As stated, it’s the foundation stone of everything you will ever play. It’s a wonderful scale for use in improvisation and chromaticism, which is the result from it’s use creates a modern and exciting sound. The chromatic scales is not only useful within the realm of improvisation and composition. It can be used within a range of warm up exercises before you start your practice session proper. Just as you would not expect a trained athlete or competitive sportsman or woman to just start running a race or taking part in a match, so you should not expect to just start playing your guitar without a warm up.
ABOUT THIS CHROMATIC SCALE LESSON
This lesson offers you a couple of ways of playing the chromatic scale. The first way that Ged Brockie shows you is vertically up the neck. The form of playing the chromatic scale makes use of finger stretches to facilitate playing all the notes of the scale. The other form that is demonstrated is horizontally up the neck. Both of these forms should be learned and played until perfect. It will help you understand the movement and distances from fret to fret at an innate level.
Your picking should be for the most part alternate up and down plectrum strokes. You should also ensure that you practice these scales slowly. The will also be an excellent way of learning other scales such as pentatonic scales and fretted major scales.
