I’ve been doing a fair bit of work on the Chord Engine this week — enough that it warrants a proper mention. The changes are significant rather than cosmetic, so if you’ve been using it regularly you’ll notice the difference fairly quickly. The core logic around how chords are built and presented has been tightened up, and some of the edge cases that were causing inconsistencies — particularly with extended and altered voicings — have been addressed.
There’s also new content sitting in both the Diatonic Key Builder and Progression Lab, so worth having a look through those when you get a chance. Chord Lab has had meaningful changes too, which ties in neatly with what’s been done in the Engine. These tools are designed to work together, and that relationship is becoming clearer with each update.
