Sea Shanties For Easy Guitar was written out of the need for a break for Ged Brockie as he worked through the mammoth 326 page epic “Upper Voicings, Synonyms & Slash Voicings For Jazz Guitar”. Month upon month writing about complex jazz, this idea and book was the perfect tonic.
The book was seen also as an opportunity to piggy back on the success of a postman from the south of Scotland who became an overnight sensation during the Covid 19 epidemic by uploading a sea shanty.
The book is popular to this day and is a good companion for the Easy Guitar For Kids book by Ged.
