GMI Premium

IMPORTANT: Download your files and keep your own copies on your own devices. GMI storage is a help we provide, not a backup service.

Your library

Sign in to see everything you have saved across the apps: progressions, chord shapes, Sketchpad pages, practice items and your GMI sessions.

Your work is yours. Keeping it safe is yours too.

GMI Premium lets you save and download your work. This storage is a convenience we provide to help you. It is not a backup service and it is not a right.

Files held on GMI can be lost. Servers fail, accounts lapse, subscriptions end, platforms change, mistakes happen. Saved work is deleted 90 days after a membership ends, and we will email you before that happens. We give no undertaking to hold your work indefinitely, to restore it if it is lost, or to keep it available in any particular format.

Items made in Pro apps need Pro to open. Without Pro you will still see them listed here.

What GMI does not keep. GMI saves your work in the apps: chords, progressions, settings, pages and practice items. It does not keep audio or video files: your recordings (MP3, WAV, MP4 and the like) stay on your own device, and a video on a Sketchpad page is only a link to YouTube or Vimeo. A picture you place on a Sketchpad page is kept as part of that page, but not as a separate file, so keep your own original JPEG or PNG. Your own device is where your recordings and pictures live.

Use “Download everything” regularly. Keep the file on your own computer or drive. Treat GMI storage as working space. Your own device is where your work lives.

Exported files are a record of your work. The “Download everything” file can’t be uploaded back into GMI. GMI sessions are different: Download on a GMI session gives you a .gmi file, and Pro members can bring it back with Import a .gmi file.
