This was a labour of love for GMI guitarist Ged Brockie. The system that has been created by Jamie Akers was brought to bare in this title as well and that system is that a song is presented at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. What this means for the guitarist is that they can gently advance within the framework of one song, whilst learning new chords, arranging techniques and more.
The stories of the people who wrote the chosen hymns, some of which are extremelly tragic, gives a depth and resonance to the book in light of the lyrics (which are all included as well within the publication).
Irrespective of whether you are a religious person or not, this book is well worth considering due to the depth of it’s content which is backed up by a huge amount of relevant downloadable resources.
